Maybe a cheap car is the better option, the benefit of having a hire car was that it is one monthly cost with no nasty surprises with repairs, maintenance  :y

Apex look good, but I am not sure how it works with ins if your not the register keeper as I am sure my ins company ask that  ???

General Car Chat / Car Hire

I am looking to get a new car for work in the next few months as my Zafira is starting to look a bit sorry for itself

In the mean time until I have enough pennies I need something and was thinking of hiring for 6 months,

Does anyone no of any car hire companies that offer this, or used any in the past, I tried some leasing firms but its 12 months minimum ?

I only cover from Reading to Slough so mileage is minimal  ;)

very nice...how does it compare to the mig....

It dont wobble in the corners  ;D Its really sure footed and power pickup is very good , the elite i had seemed to have heavy steering but this has very light steering .. the seats hug your sides just right . Not knocking the elite its just this car is right for me just now , not sure on the mpg but its going to be better than the 3.0 but then im only doing short journey's mainly and occasional long journey . I drove it back 25 mile and couldnt fault it at all  ;)

What ever it is mate I am sure its an improvement on the Omega  :y

The BMW driver should have referred to his owner manual where it would specifically advise to only tail gate in lane 1 and 2 until the car in front is intimadated enough to move out of the way  ;D ;D

You forgot the Flash the lights and signal part. My owners manual specifically states: 'Race right up to the arse end of the car in front, flash the high beam by pulling a stalk which is normally unused on the left hand side of the steering wheel, and wave furiously at the idiot in front of you until they are forced to move. As you go by, give them a gesture to let me know your displeasure and continue your journey safely.'  ::) ::).

I don't think the flashy lights came in until the E49 though  ;D ;D ;D

Mr T didn't state which variant so I assumed it was a E46  ;) :D
