Omega Electrical and Audio Help / CCRT 700 ?????
« on: 22 May 2008, 19:24:09 »
Just lately my CCRT700 loses it's volume memory each time the ignition is switched off.  All fuses OK!

The handbook simply says turn the radio off at the volume required and as long as it's not too high it'll retain that volume.

Any sugestions... :-/

You could have blown the fuse that keeps the KAM "Keep Alive Memory", Alive!

Must say, I like mine, it's got me out of the sh1te many of times and usually accurate... I'm not discounting others comments..

With today's sat navs with traffic alerts, is £30 worth it?????

that looks like its been scanned from a Vectra handbook, looking at the dash

I agree, however, it's the doc that came with my Meega :P

Had a response from Traffic Master by e-mail:

Dear Dave C

Thank you for your email below. I can set your mind at rest that there is no plans to close the Oracle system which we still fully support. Did you read this somewhere or was it more of a word of mouth thing?

Kind regards,

Jane

These are the only 2 pages in the 4 page pamphlet that are relevant to the operations for Oracle system.  The telephone number and options are correct at posting..  The anual subscription is £30, there is a bianual tariff too, just over £55....  I advise you to call them for subcription while you are sitting in the car, they'll talk you through it...  they're very pleasant and helpful :)

Sometimes the screen says no cd, but the cd is in.

I take out the cd out, reline and put back in, i do this again if it dont pick up the cd.

Try running a wet cleaner thru it!

Though it won't play the track but it will clean the laser..

As above,

I have 2 recorded fault's on my cairn sat nav.

Anybody know how to remove them, or is it a service job.

Thank you.

Are the codes causing any problems?

We really need a service manual between us in the club / forum...

Dave c, i found this, is this what we need for a 2007 disc?

Looks promising, they'll only post to Poland and theres no P&P charges.....  we'll keep an eye out for a UK sale eh?

Omega General Help / Re: Tyres (NEUTON NT 5000's) ?

Hi Guys,
Anybody tried these Neuton NT5000 tyres. I have seen them on  E bay. it says they are made by Yokohoma. They seem very low price. £90 a pair delivered  for 225 x 55 x16's. Which probably means they are not much good. But thought I would ask if anybody has tried them .

Any feedback , I would be grateful.   Thanks,  Big Al

Never heard of 'em...try a googling exercise!

GT Champiro as mentioned are a Pirelli tread pattern copy...  I love 'em  had 'em on my Cossy Scorpio, BRILLIANT.. was told recently that we can't get the in the UK, some trade embargo with Malaysia or something..  hope it's wrong info....

I now am running on EP Accellera / Tornado, they are a budget tyre, I drive quite hard sometimes, haven't let me down yet and wearing well..  £112 / pair...
