That car looks simply amazing... The color is one off and very unique... and its without a doubt the only omega in the world to have it too...

Would love to see more pictures mate!

Engine looks solid, a nice wash and detail then complete swap of fluids, enigne, gearbox, coolant flush, maybe diff fluid swap too...

And then get some fresh gas in it, should be back to being a perfect ride...
Cant wait to see more pictures.

Yep law passed sometimes last year allowing all around tint including front windows at a maximum limit of 35%... however if you tint the rears more then 35% the fronts can be a maximum of 50%.

Also factory rear tints like minivans allows front windows to only be tinted 50%.

I checked on the law before I went and got it.   And that is for IL not sure if on top of that say Chicago or Schamburg will have additional limitations but if you dont live in those cities I dont see a reason why you should follow their laws... you follow the laws of the area you live in.

So far no issues, and the more i look the more cars I see with the same tint levels.  Some look darker due to dark interiors.

...well I do now... 35% all around, legal according to my states laws...
I never thought I would like something such as tints so much, they always looked cheezy to me but the guy did an outstanding job and it looks like it came this way from the factory...

I also notice lowered interior pictures and less heat felt on the skin when the sun shines through, comparing to what comes in through the front windshield...
99% UV Block too.
No metal particles in the tint to harm cell phone reception or GPS.

Dual layer also provides protection against shattered windows.

It even retains some of that green tint when sun light hits it...

Here is how dark the tint is looking through it...

But combine all windows together and here is the result...

Well I think its the last bit that gives the fact that this was a US version of the Opel.. once I switch to the Euro trunk it will be completely different from all the other Cateras out her..

At the same time I was thinking of trading the boot lid with someone from your side of the world..

It's a damn fine looking car all the same, Cat. 8-) :-* :y

I agree ......... and I bet there are very few in the USA who have any idea what it is.  :y :y :y :y :y

It is rather confusing, whenever I stop to get fuel someone will come and ask me about it, or take a picture ... its quite a sensation for the ones that know the opel brand but have never seen one in the US...

I consider the car to be a sister of the OMEGA maybe even a Twin Sister since its so much alike, and having come form the same factory.

You could just be trying to disguise the fact that you have a Caddy Catera .......  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

LOL once I get the complete the body kit and swap the boot lids, I think it will be closer to the Opel then anything else on this side of the big pond...

The outter red light has 2 settings, one high and one low..
The low one is 7W bulb and thats the same with the lights on the trunk lid...

At night both the outter and inner lights are lit up at 7W each...

Once you press the brakes the outside one have  a 21W fillament that also comes on so only the outside ones act as brake lamps... the inside ones dont do much just night lights, parking lights whatever you guys call them but no Fog setting!.

I do like the back of the Caddy with the led lights compared with the European Omega, especially the full width brake light on the boot/trunk lid.  :y :y :y

It is rather unique and quite rare since not many 2000 and 2001 cars were ever sold...

I have a programmable relay installed on the third brake light, it preflashes the LEDs 3 times rapidly before becoming lit, and it does it extremely fast to where it grabs anyones attention...
Works quite well considering its size and its brightness...
