I do like the back of the Caddy with the led lights compared with the European Omega, especially the full width brake light on the boot/trunk lid.  :y :y :y

It is rather unique and quite rare since not many 2000 and 2001 cars were ever sold...

I have a programmable relay installed on the third brake light, it preflashes the LEDs 3 times rapidly before becoming lit, and it does it extremely fast to where it grabs anyones attention...
Works quite well considering its size and its brightness...

So what are your lights on the trunk lid used for? Europe have high intensity/rear fog lights that USA don't require. I noticed that the lights on the trunk lid of a Lexus LS400 that are rear fogs in Europe you in USA use as extra brake lights. I was expecting the same.  :-/

The outter red light has 2 settings, one high and one low..
The low one is 7W bulb and thats the same with the lights on the trunk lid...

At night both the outter and inner lights are lit up at 7W each...

Once you press the brakes the outside one have  a 21W fillament that also comes on so only the outside ones act as brake lamps... the inside ones dont do much just night lights, parking lights whatever you guys call them but no Fog setting!.

The later face lift Omega just have one tail/night light on each side ie the same as your outer lights. But the inner trunk lights, because they are only supposed to be used in reduced visibility are used about 3 times in the  life of the car, apart from the yearly MOT test (no idea what you have as a yearly test  :-/)

It is rather confusing, whenever I stop to get fuel someone will come and ask me about it, or take a picture ... its quite a sensation for the ones that know the opel brand but have never seen one in the US...

I consider the car to be a sister of the OMEGA maybe even a Twin Sister since its so much alike, and having come form the same factory.

LOL once I get the complete the body kit and swap the boot lids, I think it will be closer to the Opel then anything else on this side of the big pond...

Well I think its the last bit that gives the fact that this was a US version of the Opel.. once I switch to the Euro trunk it will be completely different from all the other Cateras out her..

At the same time I was thinking of trading the boot lid with someone from your side of the world..

I'm sure that you'd get some one will to do a trade, I would, but mine is the earlier model.  ;)

Don't forget you'd need Omega outer tail lights too. Yours are red at the top with reverse and indicators below, Omegas are the other way round. I'd keep your led Caddy lights,  ;) ;) ;) ;) they look far better. ;) ;)
