I used to buy mostly from Andy before VX dropped them. There used to be a Saab main dealer locally before they went bust, gave me a discount (without me asking) on some genuine Omega mats. They were really helpful over the phone and in person.  :(

Yep, thats the one. I found them really rude and unhelpful over the phone. Once I enquired if they participated in Trade Club, they asked me where I got the trade club from and when I said ABS, they denied they (as in Vauxhall) dealt with any car clubs and I shouldn't have it. Felt like I was in the dock!

General Car Chat / Re: How often do you wash your car?
« on: 16 February 2015, 07:50:49 »
Washed the Zafira yesterday after 5 months of ownership. Took about 2 hours. You can see why I don't wash it more often. Its looks amazing though (the shine on the paint, not the car). I might post some pictures later.

I bought one in 2013 from VX. Cost £75 then. Don't forget the grey sealant

Well I buy them for the wife who has been chained to the kitchen since the 70's.  ;D  Best place for them as clearly demonstrated by the woman in question.

I should stop talking now  :-X

What evidence does she have to back up her claim that she was stationary? If she doesn't then isn't it your word against hers? If changing story without proof is acceptable then why don't you change yours? Say you argued with her over the last tampon in the supermarket and she vowed revenge and deliberately rammed into you  :y

Thanks for replies. I was thinking £500 would get an average spec, but having started looking at websites, I'm bewildered by how much this market has changed since I last bought a laptop. I'm happy to pay more for some sort of 'future proofing' if such a thing exists, as I would want it to perform well in 5 years or so.

For £500 I could get Full HD, i5/7 processor, good battery life and SSD albeit only 128GB but I'm aware most of this would probably be wasted. Can all hard drives be upgraded to SSD (once the technology gets cheaper)?

Last bought one in 2009. I have no idea what's good and what's not and quite frankly it's mind numbing reading about SSD vs HDD etc.. My budget is £500 and there are hundreds at this price point. It will be mainly used for word processing, spreadsheets, internet and the odd videos.

Please help me!

That's not bad at all and it's close too. If only I didn't have a million and one thing on my plate right now I'd be all over that like stink on feces!
