twice a week if need be, otherwise if no snow, salt or shit on the roads once.

I don't, use a local multicultural car wash, one of 3 local to me. One is all British and comes second to those of other cultures............... :y :y

Can wash it at work for nothing,get wet and cold, find the detergent,try to find a bucket and clean brush, etc or pay £6.00 at,local hand carwash and keep warm n,dry. The choice is pay £6.00

I know of a garage that charges £3 for the top program on it's automatic car wash, due to the competition from the hand washes in the area.  :y

I would never ever take any car of mine-and they've all been cheap cars to buy-through an automatic car wash.

Every week, especially with all the salt on the road (and therefore on the car) unless temps are sub-zero.

Two buckets, microfiber washmitt, and some extra attention to the inside of the wheel arches to make sure these aren't collecting dirt and keep the rust away as long as possible.

I bought it in October and washed it a couple of weeks ago.. and when I say "washed it" I mean I took it to the local hand car wash and paid £7.

And then again yesterday because what I can only assume was an albatross had crapped on the windscreen and wing mirror..

When I first started driving, I would say once a month but as I have been driving more than 12 years now I have fun out of months ;D

Washed the Zafira yesterday after 5 months of ownership. Took about 2 hours. You can see why I don't wash it more often. Its looks amazing though (the shine on the paint, not the car). I might post some pictures later.
