As Mrs. KW will confirm, there's nothing that can be done. It's in my genes. My brother is most afflicted. He's been known to render an entire 3 bedroom house uninhabiltable for 30 minutes or more.

What a nightmare!  >:(

break 'em. Get a bulk tank installed in your front garden and sell it yourself and any other passers by.

Love to know how they work out insurance
Last year Mrs jimbob's renewal comes out
I get a load of quotes, all about the same
I get a quote from Direct line, from website instead of renewal
£150 cheaper!  ring em to see why, dunno, and we cant change it
so we dont renew, take out 'new' policy and quids in!

...becuase they were trying it on to see if they could sting you for an extra 150 quid for not getting off your @rse and shopping around!  ;)

...... As I pay by credit card, not direct debit, they can't renew it anyway unless I call them.
 .......

Mine was paid by credit card too!  >:(

Just be wary that you haven't signed up to a "continuous credit" agreement whrerby they can take annual payments from your credit cards ad infinitum without further confirmation and there's damn all you can do to stop it!

That is the pressure off for using my gaff as a venue then!! Mind you we will be too busy with olive harvesting and pruning until end of April.(don't laugh - it isn't anything like that bloody Bertoli advert)

Plenty of space for cambelt changes, gearbox ATF changes and a corner for those that find thrust washers in bits in the front pan to cry/fix them.

Hmm. Another one for the summer, I think  :y

THIS is the farm in my village.

Looks very nice indeed. I'd certainly be up for an OOF camping weekend in surroundings like that.

about time we had a cambelt party. anyone got any room?

Funnily enough I have plenty of room for 10 to 15 cars with undercover for at least 4. But you'll only say it's too far.  ::) ::)

Also, camping with electric hook ups and toilet and shower facilities. And you'll still say it's too far.  :-/

.. or too cold.

But wait until the spring... :y

I know you and Emma were discussing the possibility at the lakes.

... And my parents ended up going away the same time as we did.

It's not necessarily a requirement for them to be away, It's just that if they were in, nobody would get anything done for my Mum offering them cups of tea.

We always seem to do these in Feb, when its cold, wet, early nights etc. We must be more organised in the future.

On the other hand, it's a time of year when people aren't generally that busy...  :-/

I can't host any for a few months - I think I've put out my neighbour enough this year, plus they had their first baby last week.

There's not really enough space at our house but for a while I've had it in mind to see if there's interest in a gathering at my parents' house near Reading. For their own protection I'm going to arrange this when they are on holiday, and I believe they are going away early in the new year. I need to make some discrete enquiries to find out exactly when. Could be for cam belts, LPG, beer, all 3, bacon butties. Whatever there's demand for. There's dry garage space for 3 cars plus umpteen outside.

Bad luck.  :(

But look on the bright side - it sounds like it was down to them being a rabble rather than you not meeting the grade, so next time you'll be sorted :y

This reminds me... Look what we saw whilst waiting for the ferry to France in September:

The "Cortinas to Cortina!".

My hurriedly taken snaps didn't do it justice. Tere were several of each mark in the queue and all were in lovely nick. That white Crayford GT was gourgeous!

I'm really glad to see this didn't get brushed under the carpet as I fully expected when I read that he'd been pulled. .. and now he'll be taking the bus to work (if he's still got a job). Quite a lenient ban, though, for 30 over the limit?  :-/
