:) Some few days ago I posted in this column that my omega 2.2L estate Z22XE was misfiring then stalling when accelerating and auto gearbox could go into limp mode.

I was advised by Mr. Albs and Mr. Proz to change the camshaft sensor. I have good news today to say that I tried to change the cam sensor, in fact the one which was there was the after market one (not original). I assume the garage replaced this one. But this time I ordered the GM made by Siemens. And the all problems have vanished. However, there is hestitation and some few jerks mainly when going up hill.

Once again thanks very much Mr. Albs and Mr. Proz, may the Lord bless you.

I remember this car from about 6 months ago.I went and had a look/read the codes. It had a long list of codes then too.
Iirc new cam sensor was advised, and once fitted car ran ok ? :-\
Was sensor genuine or pattern ?
Hello Sir, I really appreciate for the advice, at the moment I'm trying to find the genuine cs sensor to replace the old one and see how it performs. once again thanks

P0340 is the cam sensor ... i would clear the codes and see if they return .
When the cam sensor is faulty it throws up all kind of codes .
If cam sensor comes back replace with genuine VX only and see how you go from there  :y

Hello Sir, thank you very much for your help. I will try to replace the cs sensor as soon as possible.

Very helpful (as always) Kevin, thanks.I will make sure the OP reads this and try to ensure he gets the correct parts. Hes not far from me so I will have tools etc. if he needs them. :y

hello sir, hope you're fine. good news early in the morning I went straight on the car and started working on it. I indeed found a very easy job I removed the injectors and no. 4 cylinder seal was badly damaged. I tried to look around the shops but there was none. But a delivery van drive gave me a phone number of T&M the injector dealers who sold me 8 of the seals at £8.50. So I changed all of them. Now the sound has stopped and the car is running smoothly, and I will take it  for MOT tomorrow.

I like to take this opportunity to thank you and all the people like Kelvin who trired their best to help me, thank you very much. gibby

Gibby - read your messages. ::) :y

thax sir 4 reminding me I have done

Very simple to change and the seals are cheap from Vx.

Interestingy, they never fail unless the injectors have been fiddled with.

hello sir, thax 4 ur advise. the garage whre I did the mot said my omega failed becoz of: 1. one of the injector seals is linking 2. parking bulb front passanger side not working 3. track rod end passager side failed. and 4. one of the number plate bulb not working. that was the report. thax wishing u a best new yr

There easy to replace and use Vx ones as they are known quality (as its a fuel system)

Was going to say, I would not trust that diagnosis, we have 2 x 2.2's one at 156k the other 125k. Never had any issues with injectors.

What does the MOT failure actually state?

Ohh and take a hint at the other 1,000,000 posts here, in which no one posts in CAPTIALS!  ::)
