Omega General Help / Re: Accidental battery drain
« on: 17 June 2013, 17:44:44 »
Had battery, alternator & a check for a discharge done, still prob persisted, but at least EML disappeared.
In the end shoved a new battery on, problem solved.  :y

Can they buy one over here and drive it back or is there some rip off EU tax to consider?.
Also, yes, the steering wheel would be on the wrong side. :-\

General Car Chat / Re: I'll have two at that price

think they have bogged up with the pricing in the add :-\ suspect it should read £1,500 but even thats a bit steep ;)

£500.....and not a penny more.

It's a mere 2.2 which eveyone knows isn't a proper Omega. ::) ::) ::) ::) ;D

You elitist swine you :-*
2 litre rarest of them all-so in years to come will  be more valuable--as seen already within classic car circles-base models rarer=more cash to buy them ;)
Thanks Symes, youv,e cheered up no end, MOT next month though :-\ :y

I read in my Haynes manual that the cambelt change intervals have been increased up to 80k.
Is this only on the 2litre only or does it encompass 2.2 also? :-\

It's wrong, it was first 80k on V6 but quickly dropped to 40k, same as 4pots.

All petrol driven Omega engines are 40k or 4 years, which ever is first  :y

2.0/2.2 also needs waterpump changed too on belt changes.  :)
Thanks for that Tunnie :y
