hi where abouts in the west country are you and make sure the eml works on ignition 2 before u papperclip it

after you cleaned and tightend the bolt and driven it has the light gone out
i know on some models you need 20ish or so clean starts for the fault to clear from the memory not sure if yours is one of them
as for runing it if it is faulty you may find that the fuel mixture may be to rich or to weak as this alters the fuel mixing whilst driving i had this go on mine sometime ago and i ran mine for 2-3 days and had no problem but as for a few weeks i dont know keep us posted

if im right its a montronic ecu
code 12 start of test
 code 13 is oxegen sensor no change in voltage/open circuit check wiring no breaks etc
code 31 rpm crankshaft sensor
if it was this the engine would be in limp mode
im sure someone more knowing will coment soon

hi to another miggy owner in the south west try to read the codes again but you have to watch the light the codes run round in a cycle

i had this problem last week milage trip was stuck took the insrument panel out put it back in and all is well dont know if thats any help but it cured mine presume it was poor contact on the back of panel

i did the same to mine i bust the clips to the filter and jubbly clips are ok on mine been there for a year and no leaks :y

ive just cured this problem on my 2l it started as a judder when goin round corners then it would pick up again it was fine on tickover but last week it got worse and the dis pac had failed on two pots replaced it and all is ok now i think it had been on its way out for a few weeks then just gave up the ghost

try vsc on e-bay i got mine next day delivered for £36.50 including postage but mines for a 2l 4 pot but there are as others have said diferent types but ive had a few spares from these and hand no problems hope this helps :y

well got it yesterday but the it rained all nite so today got back from work managed to get the old one out with no help from little hands fitted new one and shes purring again
but who the hell decided to put the dis pac there no one that has to work on it i know
anyway its done shes runing and as aways thanks for all the advice and help recived by all  ;D ;D ;D ;D :y :y

thanks for the offer philhoward but ive ordered a new one should be here tomorrow so fingers crossed will let you know how i get on with it when its in.
 all i need now is damm skinny hands to get to it, looks like my eldest son will be gettin his hands dirty  ;D

yes no oil or water in the wells but ive got no spark on the 1st plug (nearest the dis pac) and the 4th (nearest the cams) ive checked for water in all connections as i wash jetwashing it today but was careful not to go across the top of the engine dis pack area  :'(
