i have a 2.0 8 valve an mine has a problem at the mo where it starts normal when cold but when it heats up it ticksover erratically i.e. it hunts between 2000-3000 revs ive changed plugs an leads an even the fuel filter also my mate whos got a astra mk4 decided to disconnect the afm an the car ran perfectly on a test run of 5-10 miles but as soon as we got back an reconnected the afm it conked out and would not start????  as if it had flooded leave it for 10 -15 mins an itstarts but runs rough an kicks out a lot of black smoke?? an then clears an runs okish for a bit..this fault has only come in the last few days after a family holiday down to poole an nearly runnin outa fuel on the m5 due to rain causing traffic jams an me refusing to pay motorway prices for fuel..could i have crap in the fuel lines???

i got turned from the darkside(ford) after getting my mondeo ghia x smashed up by an asian woman with no licence an driving her sons company car!!!..so i bought a 2.0 veccy upon recommendation from my best mate an this year decided i wanted something that was big an comfortable as i`m a big bloke an me mate makes me look skinny an liked the look of the miggy so i thought why not an i aint regretted it yet even with the teething troubles everyone gets with new or used motors..all i want now is to get the bodywork upto scratch an sort the dreaded rust round the doors out... :y :y

i used to collect old deactivated military rifles an i was woken by the missus 1 friday night about 2am she could hear noises out in the back garden so i gets up an has a look from the side of the curtain an low an behold theres two lads trying to break in via the conservatory...i picked up my .303 lee enfield and the bayonet thats on the wall next to it an crept downstairs i got to the back kitchen an they had just got in you should of seen their faces when they see me pointing a rifle at em with the pig sticker bayonet on it....they fled over the fence an down the road screaming..then i realised that it wasn`t the gun that had scared em but me in me boxers an the old man who was staying with us for few days who was also stood there in his vest an no pants.. ha ha ha ha.. i called the local old bill who got there in bout alf hour they then gave us a few pointers of how to secure the fence a bit better like put some carpet gripper on our side an put up a sign warning em then if they come over we wont get done they then got a call for some help an half hour after they left they come back and said they had done several houses round ere an badly beat up an old fella round the corner but they had got em now an that they would be done for all the breakins.... :y :y
