Omega General Help / Re: Looking for a Suspension Kit... Any ideas?
« on: 13 February 2012, 17:28:10 »
Hi im getting mine from a company in northern ireland caller NI Coilovers they've contacted FK directly & thats what they told them...

because the kit isnt asked for very often for an estate/caravan they have to custom make it from scratch...

but the parts req to make the kit are out of stock & they should be in by last week in feb & made by mid march,

people will tell you there not in stock because its no longer a off the shelf kit it has to be made to order

if you have a facebook page find NI Coilovers (in ireland) hit like & post a request on there wall, i can also call the lad there & request 2 kits if required....

What car do you have..... engine size... & year of manufacture......

Zippy, thanks for the info. :y

Hi!

I think that finally i'll purchase the Fk High Tec kit for the Omega. I´ll hope that the kit won´t give a hard response (in view of comfortability)  at the car, but i´m aware that the car won´t be comfortable like now. But i don´t care... since i have the Lexus IS with sport suspension kit, i feel the Omega´s response too soft and "unsecure"
Zippy... Are you sure that the kit will be available at March? You did contact with the dealers? In my country (Spain) i can´t find it (it´s out of stock too).

Thanks for the information to all!

Omega General Help / Looking for a Suspension Kit... Any ideas?

Hi!

I´m gonna change the shock absorbers of my Omega, and i´m looking for  a sport suspension kit (shock + springs).
At the time i´ve found two kits, one from Bilstein (900 euros) http://www.dcperformance.co.uk/cheap/522857/vauxhall/bilstein-b12-suspension-kits/b90-65-026-04-22.html  and the other from FK Automotive (400 euros).
Both kits reduce the heigh of the car in 20-30 mm. Well...  Is this excesive? The tires of my model are 225/16/55.
Really i´m very, very missed... Any opinion at respect ?
Thanks!

Omega General Help / Re: stiff/difficult gear change
« on: 27 January 2012, 00:54:05 »
Hi Lee.

Well, four years ago i had the same problem that you explains: stiffness of gear lever and the difficulty of getting in gear (only in rear gear and the first gear).
In my case, Opel changed the cluch system (i can´t remember the exactly pieces, sorry), and the cost of the bill was 1500 euros. >:(

If i find the bill, I´ll post here.

Regards.

Hi to everyone!!!

I´m owner of one OPEL OMEGA 2.5 TD since the year 2000, but i just decide to join this forum.
On the last 5 years i had a pair of problems with my unit. The first was with the Philips CCR 4 cd magacine...  i had the problem with the laser cd lens that noone can´t fix (Opel and Phillips don´t have spare parts). The solution? I just buy a HANDS-FREE KITS BLUETOOTH (Parrot MKi9200) to connect the phone and then listen music.
The second problem was with the cluch system, that cost 1500 Euro fix the problem (this is the first time i have a problem with a cluch in one of my cars).
The third and last problem is with the climate control buttons, the black plastic that covers them has fallen in four of them. :o :o

About me... Well, i have 34 years old, i live in Barcelona and i´m the owner of another amazing car, a Lexus IS 220d SPORT since the year 2010. The other cars that i had were an Opel Astra 2.0i Sport (1999 - 2010) and a Fiat Stilo JTD Dynamic (2002 - 2008).

See you! On this great forum...
