Evening all,I'm thinking of getting a stainless back box for my 3.2,I was thinking of a cat ,s back system but at £400+ can't stretch to it.
So I was wondering if anyone has had experience with running a back box of this type at all,I'm thinking of getting a twin exit 2.5  or 3 inch pipes.

Ok so if I swap the battery live and the switched live over at the head unit end that would work?

I just fitted a alpine double din unit today and it won't hold presets,settings ect is this down to the switch and permanent live being round the other way as the above post suggests?

Ok,so I've borrowed a code reader and pluged it in this morning and the only code that comes up is P0420 which from looking in the book the reader came with is Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

The morning after the EML came on I had a bit of the wadding hanging out of the back box so I need a new back box and I am now assuming that this is why I have the P0420 code?

Evening all,the em light came on today while driving,I've just done the pedal trick and it looks like a 10 3 2 10 to me?

Now I've had a leaky rocker gasket for a while now and I'm going to change it at the weekend because it stinks now and looks like I've got a fire going on under the bonnet when I wait at the lights,could this light and fault code be linked because of a miss fire ect,boot that I have noticed one.

Thanks for any advice anyone can give

As long as the oil hasn't been changed every 20k, like the schedule suggests, history is always good.

Its been changed every 10k but you said "as long as it has't been changed every 20k" did you mean "has"

Also whats the general opinion on halfords oil and Mobils oils?

havnt got round to changing the oil yet but was wondering what any one thought about using 15/40 semi in it ?

Na it's all independent garages,the other job I need to do is the breathers and rocker gaskets
