Omega General Help / Re: Z22XE - Throttle related fault codes
« on: 03 March 2016, 04:36:44 »
I would start by replacing the cam sensor ( must be genuine Vauxhall )  my z22xe would show all different fault codes and keep going in and out of limp mode.Cam sensor replaced and all running fine again.

Has anyone played the game called Public transport on ios or android. There are omegas everywhere and when you complete the 2 bus levels you can choose an omega as your vehicle to drive.Even a convertible one. Great game to pass a bit of time.

Omega General Help / Re: anyone else had this? BP fuel
« on: 03 December 2015, 20:11:09 »
Light on mine always came on with 95 Ron fuel. Started using 97 Ron and the light hasn't been on since. Didn't matter where I filled up the car just don't like normal unleaded.

I used to get this code every other week on my 2.2. and the emissions light would come on.Bought new cat, changed sensors but to no avail..I now only run the car on 97 or 99 premium fuel and the problem has gone away. Costs abit more but at least I'm not resetting the light every 2 weeks. Hope you sort it.

Omega General Help / Re: Confirmation please..

I presume that the info from the disc means the gap is preset within these tolerances. The autodata disc's are a hive of useful information, not just for omega's but for most vehicles from 1990 to 2004 and have helped me out on many occasions.ie full diagrams of timing procedures.

Info taken from my auto data disc shows
Plug Make     Bosch
Plug Type      FGR8KQEO
Gap              1,25---1,45

Hope this helps.

Omega General Help / Re: ignition barrel
« on: 18 July 2014, 19:34:28 »
Try taking tension off steering wheel and giving key a good wiggle.Hopefully it will turn.Just had same problem with mine, luckily it did release so I took barrel out and cleaned it all and added graphite powder to lube it all up.Didn't want this to happen again so I bought a new barrel from vx at a cost of £63 Just ask for a barrel to fit original key.You will need car pass with key number on and v5 documents.Hope you get it sorted.
