Omega Electrical and Audio Help / NCDC 2013 removal Help
« on: 18 July 2010, 19:49:23 »
Today I have tried removing the NCDC 2013 head unit from the mig to fix the CDC flap that the blokes broke at the hand car wash.

Cut a long story short used Double Din removal keys but could not get it to shift, it feels as though something else is securing it in?, Does anyone know how you get the head unit out ????

Cheers

Steve

I had this problem and found that in the spare wheel area in the boot near the n/s light cluster there a fuse holder hanging out of the loom, I found that taking the fuse out and putting it back in solved the issue.

Might be worth a look, not saying it will work !

self dipping ones are electrical adjustable so have a motor in them, they adjust with the memory seats when your set up setting 1,2 and 3 on the seat in elite models, sounds like this one is broken !!

Hi fellow 3.2 meggy owner, unfortunately the Siemens NCDC 2013 u talk about doesn't have postcode recognition, however i have not yet found a destination it cannot find by simply enetring the road name and house number it takes me straight to the front door, Have just brought 2007/08 maps disk from ebay to update maps a little they have changed a bit from 2002 !!!, only cost £24 including postage for genuine version so shop about if your thinking of updating and the disks are done by year not by version number .....

Dont be tight when it comes to brake pads, either go for genuine vauxhall pads or get, as I did ferrodo premier pads all round only cost £45 all in for front and rear pads, and spot on every time, have not experienced any brake fade/overheating.

Sure I could have got front and rear pads for £30 all in from my local supplier, but you pay for what you get, Buy cheap you get cheap !!!.

Had Kumho ecsta on the back of the mig when I brought it, grippy when dry but total rubbish when wet, and very rarely stayed on the road under harsh acceleration. now have Pirelli P7 on the back and so far not had any problems.

there is a pipe back there thats the gearbox breather pipe.

Should it be connected to something at both ends, one end is attached the other looks like it has always been free from connection

After removing the plenum I have found a hose about the same size as the breather bolted to the right hand rear edge side of the plenum as you look at the front of the car, it was tucked down the back of the engine and does not see to have been connected to anything,, any ideas, I know there is alot of hoses down there !!!

Ok,

Cut a long story short water is appearing on the road, at first i thought it was the Aircon system however the puddle has been getting bigger, I opened the bonnet and could hear a sissing noise coming from down behind the engine, and water was running out at the rear of the engine underneath, a quick taste identified that it was coolant.

I have removed the plenum to gain a little more access (lol), and I can see I a plastic component with 4 hoses and an air feed on top, that appear to be water stained, what is this and are they prone to failure,

Just what you need when you have a 200 mile journey with the caravan in tow this weekend hey !!!
