Parking sensors

Hi all

I have a problem with my parking sensors, when I engage the reverse gear, there is a long long beeeeep instead the short "bip", and nothing work...

Any ideas?

This problem has been reported before on this forum and has been related to the sensors getting soaked in water during bad weather. Previous posters have reported that the problem rectifies itself after the sensors have dried out. HTH  :y

I have done a research on the forum without succes. Yes but it has not rained almost for a week here, and the sensors worked perfectly two days before... I'm lost...

I had this problem and found that in the spare wheel area in the boot near the n/s light cluster there a fuse holder hanging out of the loom, I found that taking the fuse out and putting it back in solved the issue.

Might be worth a look, not saying it will work !

Once dried out, unplugging and then plugging back in the main box seems to cure most problems

Not sure why though

I found the Bosch calculator, disconnected and then reconnected... It looks working now lol. Thank you!!

But the sensors looks more sensitive now... I have replaced my bumper for an Irmscher one, and drilled the holes for the sensors... That's the reason perhaps...?

I found that a liberal spray of WD40 on the connections helps, as does putting the unit in a plastic bag!!
