no only thing ive done is change the plug leads and the crank sensor

I have done the paper clip test and it flashes 5 times then pause then 9 times,ive try to look it up but cant seem to fiqure which fault it is :'(anybody have a beter idea than me?

its a 2.5 v6 changed the ign leads put a new crank sensor on and its still playing up :(

Thanks i got it :)still hesitating tho  :-[ when i took the old one out there was lots of oil on it,is that normal?

Sensor is the smaller connector, left of centre near the lifting eye thing, close to the breather pipes...

Thanks ive found it and taken it out at the oil filter end,but i cant seem to find the other end  ;Dplease tell me i dont have to take the window wiper motor out again :(

Any idea on were is located? ive looked around the front pulleys but cant see it,its pissing down so ive give up :'(

You've got 2 options
- clean them up - I found Tcut worked surprisingly well, others on here have used wet and dry paper (wet) followed by Tcut.
- buy some 'projector' headlamps (these are a straightforward swap) from a post 98 car.  I wouldn't bother with the 97 ones unless the car is really a model year 98 with the projectors which don't go yellow in the same way.
yes they have gone yellow,the mot guy reckoned the lights were fked so i needed new ones,might try the t cutt thing,thanks for the advice  ;)

Hello there,i have a (96) n reg omega v6 estate,it has failed the mot on headlight pattern(aparently a common fault) just wondering if a 1997 lights would fit? as thats all i can find on ebay or does anybody know were i can find a pair od headlight
