i was hoping it was a loose wire somewere haha

I just went and tested your question, i lowered the passenger and drivers side windows. Then held the keyfob lock button and only the drivers side went up :(

What does that mean?

Omega General Help / One problematic door

The passenger side door is being a pain. The door will not work with the central locking system and although the Windows work using the passenger side window control, I cannot control it from my drivers side control.

It seems like it's hooked up to power it not a controlling unit, if that's a thing? I dunno...

Was hoping someone here can help.

I have an omega 3L v6

Omega General Help / Re: Head Gasket or Oil Cooler

Thanks for all the help guys.

Think am going to replace the expansion tank because it mayoed up with lots of creamy brown crud thats stuck all over the tank :( and replace the oil cooler.

If i wanted to buy the parts and then get someone to fit them... is their a list of what i need and a recommended place for me to get them from.

That way i can take it all to the garage and just pay the labour charge for fitting :)

Ok so iv got a omega 3.2 V6.

The problem is its loosing coolant/water when i drive. There is no obvious leak other than when the engine gets hot the water leaks out the expansion tank. I bought a new expansion tank lid and this slowed it down to a dribble but i still lost about 2L every 50 mile and have to replace the lid every month :(

The coolant has sludge in it that sticks to the tank, iv flushed it out but it keeps coming back.

The engine sits nicely at 85 on the dash, so no over heating their.

Their is tiny pools of oil under the car if left to sit for a few days. But no huge oil lose.

Now i am unsure how i can tell if this is a head gasket issue or an oil cooler issue is there any way to tell in this situation?

Iv bought some steel seal encase its the head gasket so i can  temp fix it until i can afford a real fix.

Any advice would be great thanks

Omega General Help / Re: Drivers Side Heaters Not Blowing Hot

thanks for the speedy reply. I will give the guide a go on the weekend then and let you know how it goes.

As for the radio, i am unsure if its the factory one. Would a NCDC 2013 radio of been around in 2001 (year of car) i thought the 2013 stood for year 2013?

Omega General Help / Drivers Side Heaters Not Blowing Hot
« on: 16 February 2016, 20:02:32 »
hi there need some help. I recently bought a 2001 omega elite 3.2 v6. Its got a few problems but the main one now (as its winter and windows are steaming) is the fact i cannot get hot air out the drivers side heater. All the left side heaters are blowing hot air.

I did some research and found people talking about a similar problem which was to do with some arm behind the heating matrix (or that area) has fell of some small motor. I was going to follow the guide on how to fix but the problem was it was the passenger side they was fixing  ::) and i need the drivers side haha.

SO am was hoping i was hoping someone with know how could write me a guide and maybe a few pictures if they have time. I would be really grateful.

just incase anyone was wondering about my other issues and may want to give advice they are:

- NCDC 2013 radio wont turn on (no life at all also i dont have the code for when i eventually fix this)
- Central locking on right passenger door not working but the rest do.
- Windows steam up really easily (not sure if this is a problem per say but am sure they shouldn't steam up so quick)
