Sounds like a sticky tappet. Try flushing the engine and replacing the filter and oil.

My 3.0 gets about 22-25 on short runs and about the 19-20 when towing.

the guy that checked the car told me it was an all singing all dancing tech2 system but who knows. When I plug the cheapo reader into it it looks like it is powering up and counts to 4 then comes up with Error.

I'm having the same problem with my 3.0 elite. tried cheapo readers to a tech2 which cost over 10k and still not reading. I would be interested to find out what is causing this. Going to have a look this weekend after is change the dispack. I take it the Haynes manual would show the wiring diagram for it?

Hi there. I have a Omega 3.0 Elite on a 99 T plate and the engine is miss firing. I have replaced the plug Leads, sparkplugs and rocker gaskits and still have the miss. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
