Hi all,
In my other threads I had identified and asked about two problems.
1) EML comes on every so often, resulting in very low power.
2) Bend in rear suspension / wishbone / etc screwing up camber setup (suggested by Tony at WIM).
The car is now at the garage with the following result:
1) The fault code can't be read by their two machines, nor with the one they borrowed from another garage. He suspects some kind of connection problem. He suggests that when the car comes down to have the work (see below) done he will sort it then.
2) With the help of Tony at WIM, the mechanic looked but could not identify a bend - it being too small to be visual. He suggests replacing the whole of the back end on the troubled side, but he needs to source parts which will probably take until late next week.
Any comments?
Firstly any idea what could be causing connection problems? Are there different versions of Tech 2? Any questions I should ask?
Secondly, why is everything in the motor industry so slooooooooooow. Why does it take over a week to get some parts and do the work? A few days I could understand but it's not like the car is very old or rare.
