Why would these both come on all of a sudden ? they just apeared after goin round a slippy r/about and just stayed on  any ideas please

Yesterday i towed my van up to saisbury for its first service , First time i have towed it with my miggy all went wellish :-/ fuel comsumption showed average of 19 mpg (up and down on A roads) the problem was when i got to destenation ther was a stong smell of burning oil   i is just alittle concern at this because it dosnt usualy do it,
i had the auto oil changed on thurs £75+vat for oil and filter ( is this reasonable ?) cam cover gaskets changed 3mths ago anybody any ideas on what it is or how i can prevent it ?

second time this has happened in a week  
I unlock car turn key and just keeps turning over and not starting .new plugs leads dist recently any ideas please ,She does start after a few minuits but cant be good for battery

a very posh place in poole called lilliput lovely brand new  rangerover sport + old man about 70 he was  5ft nothin trying to get up and into drivers seat what a waste but did i laugh  8-)
