Omega General Help / WHATS THAT VIBRATION,   oooh er
« on: 19 March 2008, 19:11:35 »
Well i'm getting used to the car now ( had it 4 days) and have discovered a worrying vibration.
not noticeable all the time but is frequent and constant when present, seems to increase with speed. ( a kind of thrumm thrumm ) also as the revs build slowly there comes a harsh vibration just before auto box changes up, its like driving over a series a small ripples in road surface, only its not road condition. This is not a regular vibration but is of some concern as i feel vibes through pedals and gear lever.
Any ideas guys as i blew the budget buying car and need to sort these probs before they get v.exspensive :'(

                              Cheers  Oilee.

Newbie Welcome Area / Hello all
« on: 15 March 2008, 20:46:46 »
Hello Folks
just the other day i became the owner of 1995 miggy2.5TD CDX estate in a lovely green. Upon my arrival home the kids ran out all excited and loved the interior with all its new gadgets un buttons, a bit of a step up from our old 93 Audi 80 tdi. We'd had her for six yrs un with 166'000 miles under her wheels and some parts becoming very well worn she needed to be replaced, and thats why we had to look for a big diesel estate hence the Omegas' arrival. She seems ok but there are a few minor issues i will look to remedy in the near future ( as funds allow ) As i'm new to vauxhall ownership i trawled the internet to find as much info as possible to aid my ownership and ensure a bright future for all involved. Thats how i came across your site and was VERY IMPRESSED, so here i am :)

i ran me own bike business for 10 years so all sorts of stuff past my way, if you like cruisers go for something like a vt600 shadow or xv535 virago as these are low light and have mild mannered vee twin engines in 'em. These would take you every where at a rate that would be comfortable with the ability to maintain motorway traffic , oh and their both better than riding buzzy little 250cc that lack power
