it could be the bearings, does the power steering snagg when turnng, i assume the fluid level is ok

i have a strong smell of , what can only be discribed as smelly socks when the air con is swithched of and then on again a few mins later , for exsample poping into the shops
ive changed the pollen filter and washed my socks but the smell is still there , any ideas

personally i would remove with gearbox attached, and as stated remove pipe work and unplug wiring, engine mounts prop etc etc, farly easy really,

been using bosch leads for about 9 months now with now problems,

Thanks mate.
My EML has been playing up with me. Coming on and blinking a few times at me and then going off. It came on a second time and stayed on till I turned off the car when i got back home. Performance of the car is not at all affected. Anyway, when i started the car yesterday morning, it did not come on again (except during the normal starting sequence as it should) and today also it did not come back on again. But i did the paperclip test as i was worried it would say it's not happy about something! Hope this does not develop into something serious :-/
hope not, im not to sure what else it could be if the thats the only relivant code its giving you, hope its not the ECU cooked with all thoses sun rays
