Omega General Help / Re: Airbag Light - Tech2 Error TC 92

Mmm.. I don't think it did...  :-?

It was just a bog standard, cloth covered basic factory fitted 2003 Omega CD seat...

I replaced it with a 2003 Omega Elite seat....

All the plugs hooked up really well on the pasenger seat, electrics all work 100%..., ironicaly it's the drivers side we had the probs with..., but that is working fine... I know it's the pasenger side that is the problem as we didn't fit the drivers side till a couple of weeks later..., and the light was on from the word go...

I think my only option is to take it to the dealer to have a look at...?

Omega General Help / Airbag Light - Tech2 Error TC 92
« on: 23 November 2008, 23:00:27 »
Well, my saga of getting leather seats in my 2003 CD goes on..

The pasenger seat went in without any problems..., however.., the airbag light has come up on the dash board....

I took it to my local Vauxhall dealer to clear the warning with the Tech2, and he said that it wouldn't clear..., it just kept re-erroring...

The error was

"tc 92 sensor pad 1 circuit malfunction"

He had not come across this one before, so he could not give me any idea of what the problem was or how much it would cost me to fix...

Has anyone any info on this warning...?, or even a possible fix...?

Any help would be great...

My CD is a standard 2003 model with the up and down heated seats...

The Elite seats are from a 2002 model....

On the drivers side all the connectors and plugs seem to be there except for this rather large yellow on that is missing...

I've plugged all of them in the coresponding connectors but because I'm missing the big yellow one, there is no power, nothing to the seat...

Hi Liam

Thanks for taking the time to offer your advice... I just wish I knew a bit more about how the electrics work...

My simple fix was to try and get hold of a second hand, drivers side loom from the facelift Omega Elite, but every time I ask a main dealer for the part number they just scratch thier heads..., and say "you don't want to do that!"...

If I had the part number at least I could have a starting point...  :-?

I really don't have a clue about splicing in to the exist connections, so I think I'm dead in the water...

Well, just been trying to fit my Elite leather interior to my 2003 Omega CD...

No problems with the rear seats, the plug for the heated connection was there but I suspect I need to buy another connector from Vauxhall to get it all working...

Passenger side seat went in fine too... There was a yellow multiplug that was not being used which was strapped to the loom... Plugged that in and everything worked fine.. This yellow connector was not used with my old cloth trim standard seats...

The problems came with the drivers side seat... It looks like it needs the same yellow connector..., this doesn't appear to be anywhere on the drivers side loom... We took all the trim off, nothing strapped up any where...

Does any one have any ideas about this...?, we found a taped up block behind the kick panel on the drivers side, and wondered if there may be an extension that fis off this to extend the loom to the drivers seat...?

Any help would be great... Basically, we are missing a yellow multiblock plug on the drivers side...
