Ebac - Powerpac 18 DH700WG
The Ebac Powerpac 18 is the most expensive dehumidifier we've tested - but do you get what you pay for? We set it squeezing water out of the air under our tough test conditions - read on to find out if we think you should splash out on this dehumidifier, or save your money for a rainy day.

The Ebac Powerpac 18 impressed us enough to earn the Which? Best Buy recommendation - while it's not cheap, it's head and shoulders above the rest at sucking water out of the air, making it worth the extra cash.

Ebac - 2650e DD695WH
The Ebac 2650e dehumidifier costs a pretty penny, but will you be pleased with your investment? We put it through tough lab tests to see if spending a bit more means you get a dehumidifier that squeezes water out of the air in super-quick time, or if it's just money down the drain. Read on to find out our verdict.

This Ebac is one of our Best Buys so it's worth the high price tag. It's not quite as good at dehumidifying as its Best Buy sister model, the Ebac Powerpac, and its filters need replacing regularly, but it is cheaper.

So, you've been serviced by Elite Pete :o. Did you see his big tool ;D

It was definitely the car that was serviced and although I never actually saw his big tool he did a lot of rummaging in his tool box with his rubber gloves on. :o

General Car Chat / Mig Sold
« on: 03 December 2012, 18:22:22 »
Well its good-bye to the Mig. I have enjoyed driving her for the last 4 years. I have sold her to a mate and will point him towards the forum as a good source of information and help.

She passed her MOT today and Elite Pete gave her a service last month so I am passing her on in good nick for another year and with 44k on the clock there is plenty of life in her yet.

Many thanks to Elite Pete who has serviced her (so to speak) since I have had her.  :y

If its allowed I will remain on the forum as although I dont often post I do like reading the threads and helping out on the rare occasion I can.

Hi there, today my car alarm has been going off for no obvious reason at irregular times. I dont have a hanging air freshener nor anything else that could be setting off the internal sensor. No doors are ajar nor is the boot ajar.

At the moment I am thinking that I may have to leave it unlocked or is there a way of disabling the alarm entirely or a likely solution.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Siemens 2013 - No Magazine
« on: 03 November 2009, 16:23:48 »
Looking for some guidance please.

The 4 CD stack is not usable as the message "no Magazine" is constantly displayed when I try and use the unit.

I had planned to simply buy a replacement magazine but thought I would throw it out to you wise people first for any help you can offer.

Many Thanks

Omega General Help / Re: Battery Flat?
« on: 26 January 2011, 14:40:48 »
Thanks folks.

Car jump started and run up the motorway a bit. Battery has been given a clean bill of health by the local motor factors. So I will take it off and charge over the weekend, to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the help. :y :y

Abdy B thanks.

Found it on Page 63 and you are correct. So even though I am not trying to start the car I need to turn the ingition on then off and spanner like mad, so to speak. I think its the original battery so 15 seconds may be a challenge. I hope none of the neighbours are on night shift :)

Cheers sandune.

I think its the battery as I have not been using the car much. Trying to be green and walk, cycle, get the bus etc. Just look what you get for saving the planet. ;D

Thanks very much. As this car has more gadgets on it than others I have owned I wanted to check with the experts.

I have been looking through the manual and cant find anything about the powerhorn. How do I stop that going off when I disconnect the battery?

Omega General Help / Battery Flat?
« on: 26 January 2011, 12:33:52 »
Hi there I am looking for some advice with what I assume to be a flat battery, apart from get a new one.

I have just gone to start the car and nothing, then the display flickered on and off for a few seconds and then nothing at all until the alarm went off (presumably the power horn thought the battery was disconnected?).
Also the central locking keeps reopening the doors when shut with the key manually.

So, is it as simple as getting some jump leads and starting her up and driving round a bit. Or are there some other things that I need to do with codes etc before I attempt a jump start?

Any help gratefully received and thanks in advance
