also when you floor it and take your foot off the thottle it has a kind of missfire does this help in anyway with what the prob is and pls dont say dis pack lol just want to get all the parts i need while im at vx

well i'am going to replace the rocker gaskets today but it has another problem only in the past 2 days i have had trouble starting it it will turn over for ages and nothing engine managment like kinda flickers a bit but then leave it for a few seconds and it might start somtime but it has started everytime just got to leave it for a while any surgestions could it be the crank
 sensor causeing this or maybe something else

it has climate control i have just been down to have a look and there doesnt seem to be any vacum there to move the valve any sergestions

hi thanks for getting back to me i will try to flush it and see what happens i have just looked at the old bypass valve and the top pipe which has always been hot you can see that water has been flowing through it fine but the bottom pipe is clean i think the car has had this prob for some time also if you suck the top of the valve it does work so i think it is definatly a vacum prob but i have checked the pipes around and they look ok but where do the vacum pipes go after they have come through the bulkhead they seem to go back through again near the gearbox is this right and where do they go after that?

Hi everyone im back to pick your brains!!!!!!!!

ok well ive had this prob for a while first the compressor bearing went so i got a new one sorted cold air nice but not in this weather   so i checked the pipes to the heater matrix top one hot bottom one was cold so i have replaced the bypass valve good i thought this will get it sorted but no still no hot air the top pipe is now really hot but the bottom pipe is still cold   i know that it is vacum operated do you think there could be a split somewhere on the pipe or could it be something else please help getting really cold a frustrated now lol

the only other prob with the car is that 1st and 2nd are fine but when you put your foot down and get into 3rd gear it pulls fine for a few seconds then loses power not all but you can feel it not sure what it is anyone got an idea??

thats my fault didn't explain properly it is the pully bearing i have got it off borrowed the tool from a friend how easy is it to get the bearing out and to get it back in as for the normal heating i thought it might have been the thermostate was stuck open but the engine reaches normal running temp ok and stays there not sure what it is thanks for all the help everyone

Hi me again ok i have had this prob since a week of getting the car (2.5 V6) it started with a funny squelling noise comming from the engine bay i took me a while but i found out eventually it was the bearing on the clucth for the climate control i phone vauxhalls to get a price they told me that they dont do the clutch assembly on it's own and that i would have to buy a new compressor at just over £300 but all i need is the bearing has anyone got any ideas on if there is a cheaper alternative to this and also i was told i could still get hot air (without the climate control) but i cant seem to get any the car is freezing all the time even when the engine is hot still nothing

hi i purchased the car about 7 months ago i have had it serviced and looked after it well but the computer told me to check the oil (oil lack) so i did it was just above min so i topped it up with oil and noticed mayo all around the filler cap i have read on this site that a lot of people say not to worry about it but i can't help being a bit concered about this can anyone help me out or put my mind to rest i know it could be just a bit of condesation as the weather has turn cold in the last week or so i would be very grateful for any assitance
