Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Radio switches between tuner and cd by itself!

I usually listen to the radio so that when I switch off the ignition "tuner" would have been selected. When I turn on the ignition again the CD plays instead of the radio. I then have to select "tuner" again to get the radio to work. It is a 01 Elegance with a four cd changer, cassette tape and tuner. Any ideas what is causing this?

Thanks guys, I'll get the codes read and take it from there. I'm guessing cam sensor won't be too expensive.

(I meant it drives in limp mode and only starts in neutral or park)

I'm in Dublin and don't have a fault code reader. Is there a basic one you would recommend maybe from Halfords?

I have an intermittent problem with the autobox on my car. When I start it in the morning it generally works fine. Even after a short run say just to the shops when I go to start it again it will only start in third gear and I have to change the gears manually. Sometimes turning off the ignition and turning it on again fixes the problem, sometimes not. Some days it will work well with the problem hardly occurring and other days it happens a lot. The "spanner" icon is on all of the time. The guy who services my car said it is a specialised and expensive fix. Has anyone had a similar problem or advice please?

Just saying hi. I have had my Omega for four years and love it. I'm glad I found this forum and I don't know why it took me so long!
