Yup  :)

Did you mean an other solution @ Hardwarekiller's?

Thanks for all the great comments  :y

Ashtray seemed to be the tidiest solution to me, but there are plenty of options - I considered removing the R/H centre air vent at one point but as my phone is in a holder up there on a dashmount bracket it's a little awkward to access. Limiting factor of the ashtray is the depth / size but this module fits just fine.

As far as the modifications to the head unit, it is well documented on the Internet, Hardwarekiller's site amongst many others have the instructions, all very simple stuff, but the more difficult side to it is routing the cable sensibly and using a plug and socket arrangement (If you've got an NCDC/R you will need to take the unit out for a Nav Laser at some point!) to enable the head unit to be removed.

NCDC 2013 / 2015 are physically identical, it's only the presence of a Telematics on the CAN bus that makes a 2013 a 2015 (except a few legends on the Bezel). NCDR 1100 / 1500 are identical to each other in the same way but there's a slightly different method of interfacing as the CDC3 unit is a physically separate unit.

By the way, I take no responsibility for anyone who damages their unit trying to get it out of the car!
Which one did you use?
I am a little hesitant using Hardware killer's solution, since it only uses the front speakers. Not the rears.
That is why I am interested in the used solution. I would like to use all speakers.

Found the player on eBay (actually a friend did  ;D )
Without Bluetooth:  http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Useful-Black-Remote-Control-USB-SD-FM-MP3-Audio-Player-Module-DIY-/151553153657?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2349459a79
With Bluetooth: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281312963000?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT (not sure this one will fit, since it is slightly wider).

I ordered the first one (same as VXL V6).
Will keep you posted.
Have to order a new soldering iron first... mine just died  >:(

This looks awesome. I am also busy trying to get this kind of solution working (NCDC2013).
I am very curious how the 'switch' between MP3 and CDC is connected.
Could you elaborate on this (perhaps with a few pics)?

A message from the other side of the ditch, where we also love to drive the Omega (branded under the name Opel, but who am I telling this  ;D)
I'm driving 2 facelifts (not at the same time  :D), both 3.0 V6 Executives (called Elite at your side).
Both are build in the year 2000, but the latest love is coming from Switserland where the speedo did not reach 48.000 km  ::)

I'm also a member of the Dutch Omega forum, which is still in state of building (so don't mind the empty front page, and hauler onto the forum  :y

Hoping on some fine times here and welcome you all to our Dutch forum as well  :)

Cheers,
Ruud

anyone know the Holden / GTO front piston size ? (so I can work some stuff out)
Vega still has a set around... I'll ask him to measure it and post it here. I am curious about your findings.
(btw: I too have the 3.2 vented disks and calipers mounted at the back).
Using EBD red-stuff brake pads on all 4 disks.
I am driving mainly highway (~150km/day).

And if Omega6pot has the standard disks mounted, he can install the calipers without any problem.
Vega and myself did exactly the same  :P

The seller (OpelFrank) works, or has very close connections with the guys in Rüsselheim...
Take a look at his website (Sorry, in German  ::) )
He had several Lotus Omega's and other exclusive cars... I envy the b*sterd  :o ;D

It is possible to convert a non-'lenkradbedienung' to a 'lenkradbedienung' version.
How I know ?
I did it myself, for a good friend.
With a lot of patience, love (and a Dremel :D ) you will get a near to identical version.
My friend is at my house this weekend... I will take a few pictures before he leaves, so you can see the result for yourself (he also had the black parts 'painted' (by a professional company) to match the color of his dash).
If you wouldn't know (that color was never available by Irmscher), you wouldn't know it wasn't standard  :y
