Just passed straight through.
Must say im pleased but surprised considering the clonk i get from the rear over sharp bumps,and the wandering at the front.

Paid a grand for it with 83k miles,one owner from new and now have 12 months to get my money's worth.
Bargain
(fingers crossed it doesn't break now!)

ive got something similar happening,dried out the passenger carpet at weekend,left mats out and then watched it slowly getting wet yesterday as i drove around.

ive got a little water/wet near the gear stick carpet area but it must be running down cos the real wet patch is right at the front of the footwell and along edge of sill.

where exactly are the air-con drains?

I need some new bits for my 2.5 CD estate,namely....Exhaust,shocks and springs allround.

can i use MV6 parts to give my 2.5 a bit more edge??
will they fit ok?

Had my 2001 2.5 Estate about 6 weeks and done about 4k miles so im generally happy with the car as a daily worker,comfy,economical everything works etc.
its done 86k now.
I think though its time to decide on its future.
Faults:....
Oil leak from back of engine,probably the usual(ive read on here!)worse since i changed the oil .Smelly and making a mess.

Wayward front end under braking,seems to dart one way or other when you come off brakes,motorway,country roads etc say above 40mph.

Clonk/thud from backend over sharp bumps in the road,gets worse and more regular the more weight you have in.

So is it worth spending the money?
I reckon as well as above a new set of dampers/suspension would be nice....probably go for MV6 to sharpen it up a bit.

What do you guys think about costs?
Obviously the car isn't worth loads so am i wasting my money?

Hi just bought a 2001 2.5 cd estate,to replace a Vectra VXR estate(too nice for what im doing)
One owner from new,83k miles fsh etc.
not mint but ok for a daily driver,everyting works and its cleaned up nice.
looks like i need to do the breathers(any tips?)'cos there is a bit of oil round the top of engine and it needs front brakes.
clutch bites right at top of travel so i hope its not about to go lol.
Anyway not bad for a grand....
