i read that you need code for radio as well to do cd changer code, thing is i got neither but when i changed gearbox i disconected battery but the radio never requested a code !
also there is no number next to where it says cd safe !

but i really cant be arsed to mess about no more it starting to get depressing lol
here is what mot failure sheet says ,,.,.,.,.,.,NEARSIDE FRONT (CLOSE TO STEERING ARM MOUNTING POINT) STEERING COMPONENT MOUNTING PRESCRIBED IS EXESSIVELEY CORRODED [2.2.C.1G ] ANY IDEAS ON COST 
but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the last thing to do up was the linkage from the gear stick to the rod that connects to the box, ive lost the bolt and cant get it any where as it not a proper bolt if ya get me and vauxhall said thay have to get it from germany grrrrrrrrrrrrr breakers had 6 omegas from v6 to 3,0 and a couple 2ltr but there all stacked on to other cars so cant get to them and they said it to much grief for 1 bolt, any ideas any one?
