Omega General Help / starter not working
« on: 14 November 2011, 11:23:47 »
hello,
yesterday, my omega 2.5 V6 refused to start and till now. Starter seems to try to turn just a moment, without moving the belt. Could be a fuse relay/problem or I should discard them as it reacts when key is turned? Thanks in advance.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: (or down))rear window fails
« on: 06 August 2010, 17:10:24 »
The window moves 4 inches and stops.

One of the rear window, when button is pressed, only goes up (or down) a little (4 inches), then it stops, and you have to press the button again for another 4 inches. I have lubricated  it with no results. The behaviour is the same if I help the glass to move, so I think id not a  matter of resistence, but an electrical issue. Do you know if there is a relay to move the window? Any idea what to do?

Omega General Help / auxiliar water pump
« on: 30 August 2011, 08:25:35 »
The auxiliary water pump that is attached to the rad has become very noisy. Do you know what is it for? Can I disconnect it or should I replace?
Thanks for your comments.

Omega General Help / Re: Temperature hiccup
« on: 31 July 2010, 18:27:35 »
I agree that only reason for rising and falling the temp so quickly is a momentary lack of coolant on the sensor. Maybe the circuit is not correctly pressurized and coolant is boling?

Omega General Help / Re: thermostat housing
« on: 29 July 2010, 10:27:42 »
I replaced the thermostat two months ago. It was imposible to loose the trasfer pipe, I wasted hours. You'd better (as I finally did) crack the transfer pipe, get it out, and replace.

Omega General Help / Re: Engine Temp

I'm going to flush radiator, maybe this improve coolant flow...
In addition, when I replace rad thermoswitch this week, only a little amount of coolant (half a glass) was lost through the switch hole, is this normal?

Omega General Help / Engine Temp
« on: 28 July 2010, 11:56:54 »
I'm getting overheating problems with my 2.5 V6 omega, maybe you could help me. It only occurs stopped, on movement temp stays around 92 ºC.  Often, when I'm stopped in traffic, engine temp rises till 100 ºC. The three fans are running, but I think at low speed. If I rev up the engine at this moment, the temp drops quickly to 92.
Is there a electrical water pump that could be faulty and revving up the engine helps that way? May be the temp sensor is not ok? Any ideas?

I got temp problems after oil cooler change and the only thing solved the problem was to replace the radiator. Iflushed it many time with no results.
