I bought a hot start fix box on ebay works fine car starts first time every time, The box over-rides the temp sensor in the pump so heaters work on every start-up. My 2.2dti had the same problems as yours has

Omega General Help / Re: Bleeding Clutch
« on: 07 August 2011, 17:48:28 »
Well guys bit the bullet and took out g/box, only to find the slave cylinder loose. One bolt snapped one hanging out and the other finger tight. Slave is ok but have a small leak from the pipes feeding it probably due to the movement of the cylinder being loose. Getting new pipes made up in the morning then get the old girl back together hopefully all will be ok ::) ::)

Omega General Help / Bleeding Clutch
« on: 28 July 2011, 16:39:07 »
Tried bleeding my clutch as i was having trouble changing from 1st to 2nd no joy, Had one person topping up reservoir one at pedal and one at bleed valve. There is no air in system put 1 litre through with no air bubbles, But when i drive the car the pedal will drop to the floor and i have to lift it with my foot. I also feel the pressure in the pedal varies when i accelerate it increases pressure, take my foot off the throttle and the pedal pressure drops away. Any help would be gratefully accepted  :-/ :-/

put the car on ramps, from the bottom you use a ratchet with a 19mm socket there is a false nut and move the tensioner away from the belt very easy to do.

The car had a new clutch and dmf last year only done about 7000 miles. This does not happen all the time just when you dont want it to. I have also checked oil level in the gbox which is ok. Omega General Help / Hot start fix box on ebay
« on: 18 March 2011, 18:13:51 »
Hi folks my 2.2dti is a pig to start when hot, if i try to start it and the heater plug light comes on it starts fine. If the light doesnt come on the car wil turn over for about 20-30 seconds then start with a big plume of dark smoke, if anyone uses one of these boxes is it hard to fit and does it work. All injector seals and filters done within last 1000 mls :( :( :(
