Although the sender was replaced the garage did check the gauge in the dash with what I would assume was an amp meter and this showed that it was giving no current completely dead!!
Hi All Would anyone have a Dash temperature gauge only my gauge is not working. The sender has been replaced by my local garage but the temperature still shows the engine cold with the needle not climbing? Chalky at tha garage has told me that this is quite unusual to go wrong but this does seem to be the case!
Thank you to all the replies from Members they have been most helpfull. I am some what puzzled to why this has happened with the Gasket being changed on the second occasion as there were no issues when the garage changed it the first time (other than the Gasket leaking!!)
Just to add that the Omega I own is a V6 Elite 3ltr and also that the Gasket was the genuine Vauxhall Gasket the garage that replaced it had to do this work twice due to the other Gasket leaking again (no charge to me for second Gasket)
Have just had a Rocker box Gasket changed for the second time! (the other one leaked and needed replacing) unfortunately the engine does not seem ok it seems to be labouring even when just ticking over. Took it for a run and the engine was struggling especially between 50-60 there was a lot of vibration on the steering wheel? Have checked recent post for the same fault and it would seem if it could be the coil pack may require replacing? Would very much appreciate any feed back from Members- not forgetting "Happy New Year"
Just came back after short trip to Chippenham, just before getting back to Marlborough a beeping noise could be heard no error message was showing on the Computer? could anyone enlighten me to what this fault could be!!
