Omega General Help / misfire
« on: 28 September 2010, 21:46:47 »
hi guys, today i fitted a new door to my mv6, whilst doing this i disconnected the battery. when i put it all back together i noticed a plug was not connected the air filter pipe (i can only assume its a maf sensor?), so i plugged it back in and from doing this the car now runs very lumpy.

when stationary the car idles under 1000rpm but feels like its going to stall and the dash lights go dim and bright in time with the idle problem.

any help would be greatly recieved.

many thanks, simon

Omega General Help / Confused
« on: 29 August 2010, 08:39:15 »
hi again guys. as you will notice im a newbie to the whole vauxhall thing as i was an avid rover fan for the best part of 13 years. im trying to learn as much as i can about these cars now and try and fathom out things as i go along.

my question today is this, what does the MV6 have over all the other cars, is it trim level or is there some kind of engine variant?

cheers, simon

hi guys, when the climate control is set to low, should it be freezing cold like air-con or just normal ambient temp?

but fixed now! Went to work the other morning and decided to go into maccies for a cuppa. just as i drove past the entrance, a guy in a astra van reversed straight into my passenger door  >:(. anyway, to cut a long story short, i decided it would be less hassle to just get a quote for a door and get him to pay the bill (which he was more than happy to do as it was his dads business van and didnt want him to find out lol).

Anyway, got in touch with steve at omega spares near heathrow and picked up a nice matching door from an elite. me and my mate fitted it today and it looks the business. thanks to steve for enduring all my texts and calls and i now have a nice shiney door!

the damge...........

the door off (after alot of swearing)..........

my mate looking all cheesy..........

nice clean engine bay.......

Meetings, gatherings, parties etc / Re: kent meets
« on: 15 September 2010, 09:35:48 »
hi guys, how about we all meet up at the hopfarm. its a great eating place and loads of parking to all hook up together.

the hopfarm is where they hold the annual war and peace show, its in east peckham not far from paddock wood.

could meet up on a sunday around dinner time, have something to eat and then head down to tunbridge wells bowl plex for abit of pool or bowling. makes it more of a family day out then.  :-/
