bit of a bump..............
« on: 28 September 2010, 19:30:52 »

but fixed now! Went to work the other morning and decided to go into maccies for a cuppa. just as i drove past the entrance, a guy in a astra van reversed straight into my passenger door  >:(. anyway, to cut a long story short, i decided it would be less hassle to just get a quote for a door and get him to pay the bill (which he was more than happy to do as it was his dads business van and didnt want him to find out lol).

Anyway, got in touch with steve at omega spares near heathrow and picked up a nice matching door from an elite. me and my mate fitted it today and it looks the business. thanks to steve for enduring all my texts and calls and i now have a nice shiney door!

the damge...........

the door off (after alot of swearing)..........

my mate looking all cheesy..........

nice clean engine bay.......

long job and definately a 2 person job. the hardest part was getting the pins out and all the stuff transfered to the new door.

Nice one! Have you swapped the MV6 Badge over? Or is one side of your car an Elite and the other an MV6?!

They come off quite easily with some hot water and a plastic scraper. I then just used some tcut to clean the glue off.

I ended up leaving them off my V6... makes it easier when you wash it!

Good result, I'm glag you got it sorted. Your coolant looks a bit dull though. Might be worth changing it for nice new VX red.

Exactly what i did with mine, plus removed rear badge and smoothed it over, even though the car is still off the road and not painted yet,but should be ready to go within a couple of weeks. ;)
