Bingo !!

Code Entry as Follows:
Turn Off Stereo
Switch On Ignition (No Need To Start Engine)
Press & Hold Preset " AS " and
Switch Radio On - Display Shows
" SAFE " And Then Shows " 10 - - - - "

AND It worked It is a little confusing in the book well done  thata one thing solved

  Hi I have a Philips /Bose ..Rad/CD multi player  in my 3.0 V6  It has no CCR*** numbers on front of it only name, but looks most like the pics of the CCR600/CCR 800,
As i havnt used the car much for over a year I'm just having few jobs done too it to use from next month (towing caravan) so has the radio is saying SAFE thought I would put its codes in, alas not so... did the usual on with ign off with Radio HOLD in the AS button , nothing happened at all no matter how long I pressed it, also tried it with the CD code same there nothing happened. As i do have the lefit codes for it.
So I cant activate it, now I know it works it worked fine last year, so what do I need to do ? does it need a visit to a shop ?

I have one just same messed about with it, it does work but is very temperamental  & the software supplied sucks! so IMHO i wouldnt waste my dosh

Hi Mark its  a Philips CAR400  radio/cass player , so tried buying trying twice now to buy a CDR 500 to just slot in one was faulty other just never arrived ??

Right of late I have been trying to upgrade to a cd player CDR500 got hold of one but it was faulty, now as I'm complete novice on the wiring set ups ..Can anyone tell me ,advise as to wether this  cd changer will fit in my 2.0 CD saloon miggy  easily

As I have no idea where to look even for the wiring loom connections in the boot or where ever it maybe in the saloon, that is providing it will even have the correct connections to connect this type of cd changer... as in my Estate car its situated by the o/s rear wheel & doubt it will fit there in the saloon,
So where do I look to see if there is connections to fix it to, if its a no go its back to the idea of a single cd player me thinks

I have just replaced my radio /cassette player in my miggy with a used CDR500 player. Now i swapped it over typed in the code radio works perfick but then had trouble loading a CD it just didnt want to know it spit it out every time I pushed one in tried several!  In the end I managed to get it to load by doing this -
Turn off the player push the cd in the slot then turn on the player radio plays & it sucks the cd into the player, then pressed the CD button & it finds the tracks & plays, then to remove it press the cd button again & the cd comes out but the flippin cd player motor spins for ages after, after it stops i can then put another cd in
Then to put a cd back I have to repeat the procedure ?? is this right as
I had one before in a previous car & dont recall having to mess about so much .

Never yet removed the battery to recharge it always left on car totally flat or just topping up, cant say I have had a problem after !

Been looking to buy a cheapo cd player for my 2litre CD only has radio/cass in it, looked on egay at the ones that will swap straight over
Vx CDR 500 cd players, even bid on one but they got carried away bidding i feel.......Soooo is there any other makes that I could fit easily still being able to use the st/whl controls although thats not too important just something that will work ok in the space it fits in !

Those sound much too Hi tech for me to mess with

Thanks TB did that & it did try communicating but was unable to build whatever it does so moved on a bit further  ,if there are no errors which I dont think is will it do anything or show any data possibly ?
