Omega General Help / Can't find that gasket. Please help
« on: 01 May 2011, 10:40:54 »
Hi,

I am in need to buy this gasket. It's the gasket between the egr valve and the head.

I know this is used by many cars but I need it for my Omega Z22XE.

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Felpro/EGR_Valve_Gasket/FP71270.html

Does anyone know a shop in uk where I could buy it from?

Thanks in advance.

What is the best way of doing it?

What is the gasket part number?

Sorry guys but i have no idea what is the name of it.

Any chance that I can use some kind of glue.

Thanks in advance. :D

Omega General Help / Hot air blowing on the back of the engine.
« on: 23 April 2011, 14:54:40 »
The car: Omega 2.2 Z22XE (petrol +lpg) 2001

I find out that there is hot air leak on the back of the engine between the egr and the engine. It looks like that hot air comes from the engine more that the egr. My manifold has just been fixed. Head gasket has been replaced 2-3 months ago because of the oil leak. The oil is not leaking anymore.

The issue is that the car hasn't pass MOT on the emission test.

Since then  I found out that that there was a hole in one of the breather pipe. The top plastic bit of MAF sensor was unglued.(Again air leak). Manifold and exhaust were leaking.

The car has lost power but it seems it's better now after these things have been fixed. :D

I am worrying about that air leak and also once you press the accel. pedal you hear the air whistle.
The car is not that powerful and it's struggling when driving up to hills but it's not very bad!

I have already spent lots of many on this MOT! I have to pay again for the MOT and I want to be sure it will pass this time. This is the 3rd week I am struggling with this car since first MOT test

Do you know guys what it can be on the back of the engine?

Any advice is welcome :)

Thank in advance.

Please let me know if you need any more information.

I assume that because the hole in the breather pipe some gasket might start blowing.

Hi,

I managed to read the codes from my omega 2.2 petrol b fl 2001 180k on the clock! + lpg.

Please see the following codes:

0130     P0130   O2 Sensor 1 Incorrect Signal
0340     P0340   Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit No Signal
P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P0304 Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
P0110  Intake Air Temperature Circuit

All air pipes cleaned new filters new spar plugs.

I have recently disconnected also the O2 sensor so that is why it showed me that as well.

The car take more fuel, 20mpg;/ and having problems during acceleration (power loss) it's not happening always.

I believe that the Cam sensor needs replacing.

Please advice :)

Thanks.

Best Regards
