Door Creak

Last week i replaced the plastic bush to stop the door from creaking and cracking , all has been well since yesterday and its started to creak again  :( i didnt grease it as was advised not to , surely it hasnt broken already  :-\ Is there any other bits to replace apart from the bush ?

The door check strap might need reinforcing. There is a how to on this. Can't link it, sorry, typing from my mobile

Check the mech itself is tight

Yes mechanism itself often benefits from attackingwith file and sandpaper and the liberal greasing. It is easier if removed from the car.

It does seem a bit loose , its only creaking a bit when the door is being opened/not closed but not the cracking that i had before i replaced the bush ..

Dont mean to teach you to suck eggs old chap but did you tighten it properly? I didnt on the first attempt and it sounded like the door was ripped off!

Sure i did but didnt over tighten as per guide .              "runs off to check" well hobbles  ;D :y

yeah mine came loose. tighten up with a lot of force and it'll stay done up. anymore creaking just tighten up ;)
