alarm? weirdness after car wash
« on: 29 April 2008, 22:14:43 »

So there i am, take the elite thru the fancy car wash by tescos...   the all singing all dancing, full works programme...   get rid of that morning's bird crud...    all fine and cool and froody,  drive off and fly off along the dual carriageway...

about 10 minutes after leaving the car wash, braking on the approach to a roundabout, a high pitched siren/beeping thing goes off... sounds a lot like the alarm power sounder thing on the sintra did when disconnecting the battery without disarming the alarm system first...  (actually, the old miggy also did that, but it sounded different.. )

no lights flashing internally, obviously i've no idea if they were doing so externally....  ,. It went on for a few minutes, till i could safely stop the car, get out, lock it, unlock it, and restart it...  then drive on...

then , under braking again, abolut 10 minutes later it did it again, just briefly, and stopped....

WHAT THE break WAS THAT ABOUT????

Now I think I keep hearing odd little electrical noises , arc'ing, buzzing, etc...   just now and then...

is there some leaky point on late mini facelift eleite estates I'm unaware of??   and some vulnerable bit of expensive electrical trickery??

the old car never did this....

I'm officially worried.....

Lol.....I have a suspicion that you have some blocked scuttle drains......your expensive car wash might just have drowned the alarm power sounder!
