I don't know why but whenever I see the word tre TRE I think someone misspelt tree no joke  :-\.

I've never had a TRE 'go' on a Vauxhall. When an MOT is due I check them for play, or inspect for damaged gaiters, and change them when necessary. So it's an annual event. ON a Peugeot 505 I had one clonking merrily and could feel it in the steering, but that was years ago.
