2.2 is ok , just like the one we took back from auction . Its on the wish list and has been for many yrs .. :y
thats best one---fit v8 shox and springs and larger diameter roll bar--out handle miggy no sweat :y

I think i would drive it sedately , put my flat cap on and go for a nice sunday cruise  :D ;)
yep easy to do as rover is probably only 4 door saloon that is 50/50 weight distribution-most are 65/45 :y

Most of the M3's M5's are 50/50, as were quite a lot of cars I thought  :-\

It's the "skeleton"that's important all outer panels[including the roof] just bolt on to this.On the 4cylinder engine the side plates can rot through giving water leaks.Had a 2200SC myself once,no ball of fire to drive but comfy and reasonably economical too.Boot space is rubbish unless you go for the boot mounted spare wheel option.Rear seat definitely shaped for just two people,no bench  seat in a P6.

really  :o :o only boot i know of where you can lay spare wheel flat or upright--in mine got 2 rear wheels---drags

the 2000/2200 four cylinder engine had steel plates on sides of engine block--which meant all casting sand removed-also as it form engine block--coould leak --after 20yrs or so---easy to change though :y
