Right found its location, got the new one, but has anyone ever done this job? I ask as it seems to disappear behind the air con compressor, Pains book says remove the left engine mount, seems excessive.  Help needed please

Is this on a 4 pot or V6. 
I'm only familiar with V6's.

quite a post on here about it (mine) code is the one for it, also been cutting out during driving very scary, last week it red lined itself on kick down, then went to limp and no revs, all very frustrating

Cheers, what a palaver for something held in with one screw, engine mount easy to do is it?

Remove the heatshield from over the exhaust for easier access (same size torx as crank sensor bolt). At the base of dipstick tube feel forward about 50mm (towards front of engine) and you can feel the retaining bolt. Access using a UJ (swivel joint) if you can`t manage with a long 1/4" ext. bar.
If still struggling slip the Aux Belt, unbolt the Power Steering Pump, and move it out of the way
on it's flexible pipes.
