Usually one or two grommets either side of bulkhead to feed through

In the pollen filter housing is a large OE bunch of wires going through the bulkhead. Just above it is a small blanking grommet, this is where I passed a cable through for my tow bar gubbins. :y

On estates it's where the pipe for the rear washer goes ..............

That makes sense. It was the only place I could find on the whole of the bulkhead.

i had to go have a look, anyway i found a pop out grommet bit bigger than a 2p under drivers side scuttle which will be perfect. thinking of connecting it straight to cig lighter + as its a switch on/off system.

That's as good a route as any :y, but why not power it from the fusebox about 6inches from said grommet on the bulkhead, can fuse it there too, and fit a suitable switch next to the headlight switch :-\ if your car has/had Traffic Master fitted, you don't even need a new switch...

+12V on the Omega comes in two flavours...

1. Permanent live = Red
2. Switched live = Black

If you want a switched live, then you need a black wire ::)

I would add another fuse as I guess your parking sensors are a lower ampage than the cigarette lighter socket.

Haynes manual is your friend when it comes to wiring diagrams... will soon tell you if the wire you're thinking of does what you need it to :y
