« on: 28 December 2014, 22:21:07 »

Not seats out, but the side bolsters need to come out ..... only seconds of a job, there's a metal tab you bend to release them.

edit : Just had a look at the guide ..... pretty sure I just lifted the base of the seat a little to get tothe tabs, I didn't remove it

Mine decided it was going to stick up just before I sold the car ..... it was ..... errr .... 'fun' removing it and the parcel shelf with the blind raised. On the back of the motor there's a short extension of the motor shaft which is just about big enough to turn the motor with (I used a small drill chuck ), turning the motor a little was enough to 'fix' mine

I've removed the rear blind and shelf complete from 2 Omega's in around 5 minutes each.

C Pillar plastix pops off, lift shelf, electrical connector, job done.

Provided you are confident in tugging things (oohh err) which feel like they won't move, it's easy.  Getting the C Pillar trims off is the scary part.

If it all goes belly up, I have a full shelf with Bose grilles and a fully working blind in the garage.  ;)

When you are working on your own car ...your frame of mind is different..

I removed side trims ..belt nuts... rear light..etc.. remove nuts.. then hit the 3 poppers with a hammer. then took it in lounge and replaced blind on shelf....

that took me 2 hours min

i can see the rip out method working... but thats not me  :y

Easy Tiger.  These were my own cars.  :y

You don't need to remove the seat belt bolts, the Pillar trims will pop off and rotate out of the way enough to slide the shelf out.

Not every job has to be a ball ache.  And that's what these forums are for - sharing experience and making jobs easier.  ;)

Over the years mine has occasionally stuck - i.e. just clicking. I just ignore it an next time I try it is working again after holding down button for a while. Omega gremlin of which there are several.

Most likely what's happening, Could be its time of year, Previous Omegas have occasionally had issues with central locking during winter months, Yet completely back to normal during summer.
