Needs to be from same engine group... Say dbw v6... Otherwise might not work... Ideally same age/engine/gearbox...

As for mileage, remove odo reset pin, unclip unit from facia trim, carefully reset mileage, refit
panel and pin :y

It's from exactly the same type: a 2.5 V6 CDX auto on a 1999 S reg. Mine's a 2.5 V6 CDX auto 1998 S reg.

unclip unit from facia trim So that's once the plastic film and white backing plastic is off, you mean (on the back of the instrument panel)?

The clock section clips into the housing ie the part you can see/touch from the driver seat... Dont touch the film. The dial faces are a single sticker which needs removing to separate the components as it covers a handful of critical screws.

This cannot be reliably done if you wish to reuse it...

Sorry Al you've lost me. :-[

Are you talking about taking the white plastic back off (with the thin blue film over it) or are you talking about taking the clear plastic cover (that covers the whole set of dials and faces you) and going in from the front?

Clear plastic housing can be removed. Once done you can dust inside and correct the mileage.

Blue film best left alone as the current tracks are fragile.

Clear cover off, the cluster can be split black and white, but won't help with your issue unless any failed components are blindingly obvious (and repairable)

Clear as Alabama mud I hope... :y

Second day in a row - jump in - 1st journey of the day - everything fine.
From 2nd journey, nothing happening (temp and fuel fine)

So, take out, swap and change mileage methinks

Watch this space ::)
