There's a pulley kit for the supercharger,.about £1500 for that and a remap allegedly gets you to 465bhp.

Should be entertaining... >:D
Until it blows up >:D

That V6 is a proper British Leyland product... They couldn't even be bothered to finish machining it and gave up after doing a 3/4 job >:D

.. and whilst I'm sure it makes a nice noise, the XE is a light car, there are very few occasions when I have my foot planted and wish it had more power, and I wouldn't want another 100kg up front to risk spoiling its perfect balance.

Broke it.
……………

Low battery voltage
Faulty brake pedal switch
Fault thrown by EPB Module

These individual faults all seem to be able to display multiple faults like your symptoms. Hope it’s something simple like low battery voltage.  :-\

Broke it.
Moved all the servers into hers, and took that down to Londonium!

Presumably a battery issue, rather than all that going wonky at the same time?  :-\
Well, fingers crossed.  Though they are all brake related, bar the gearbox.  And on applying and releasing the brakes, it felt like they were taking a while to release....   ...but it has all that complex shit on it, so could still be an eco having a spaz.

The brake releasing seems too consistent, and seems to fully release to make me think its not a sticky caliper.

Do you recall that I mentioned that if I don’t pump the brake pedal before exiting rear pad change service mode, the car gets angry. This is the type of thing that I was referring to. The module throws a tantrum, not just on the EPB though. I wonder if it could be related to that.  :-\
I did do a recalibration after pad change, so should have sorted.  And it had done 2 or 3 trips after.  But who knows. Too hot to get the diags out.

I've got an inkling that battery is knackered. And its been sat for 10 days, so could be related to battery. Fingers crossed.

Hers is the least powerful in the range, at 163bhp.  Aside from anything under about 1500rpm when the turbo starts to kick in, it's more than adequate.  Under 1500rpm, it really does punish you though ;D

Oh ye of little faith! Honestly I always thought the v6 is a derivative of the Ford Duratec lump, rather than one of their own design.

In other news, my fine chunk of American-ness had (most of) the bird sh!t and moss hosed off it and taken down the MOT centre.

AND IT PASSED  :)

Clearly thriving on neglect  ;D

Well done on the rebadged E Class 8)

The current V6 is a V8 block with 75% of the pistons fitted AIUI.

Handy for engine swaps. The Duratec lump died with the X Type generation.

Tipped a bottle of ceramic magic head gasket repair potion into the cooling system of Sons Civic.
Probably wont work at all but were hoping it will have some effect so he can nurse it through the rest of this year.
We shall see.  ::)
