4 wheel  alignment centers in the midlands
« on: 21 October 2008, 13:11:15 »

I had to take swmnbo out and after looking at Mark DTM's useful links topic
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1161091674
I thought I'd call in to see what equipment Chemix are using

It's the Hunter DSP600 which i think is the same as WIM

4 wheel check £12.50 + vat
adjust £60 to £100 +vat depending on how much adjustment is needed

Although I'd prefer to take mine back to Tony, It seems very in-efficient driving to Chesham when Chemix is 5 mins round the corner...Literally.
Sorry Tony.
Open Days/meets  are very different.

the place 5 mins from me has one too.

Shame they dont understand how to use it, and refuse to do anything but set it in the 'ambiguous' green  >:(

Part of the service provided by Tony is the amount of R&D that he has one on the Omega setup. The local places don't have (or just don't use) this info.

I got mine done by Tony last week. The reason I went to him 1 week after having it done at Protyre in Fanham was
1. I was on a mission to get it sorted.
2. Reading various posts on here made me understand how far out the alignment can be while meeting Vx and local tyre places specs.

The difference was worth my 2 hour drive to Chesham without a doubt. The handling is now 'right'. It was understeering, that's gone. The back end was a bit twitchy cornering under power, also gone.

Next time I do droplinks, wishbones, track rod arms - Tony gets the job. No messing.

Final bonus - the £60+VAT price is capped for OOF members. So you could save the petrol money too.

I will say it again - highly recommended.

Tony IS and would be MY first choice every time, Its the mileage that isn't. I took the tractor to Chemix today after having a new TRE for the MOT and the guys were very friendly and once I'd said that i'd seen the ds600 used buy a PROFESSIONAL Also the WIM sticker in the back window). they pulled all the stops and I now have a VERY straight running Tractor Estate.
