When i was in my early teens, i picked up a big House Spider with my index finger & thumb & the bugger bit me, left me with a slight tingling & a very tiny puncture mark. So be carefull, because they can bite ;)

no, no, no..........don't kill spiders, they're goodies not baddies! ::)

According to a David Attenborough documentary on spiders I watched a couple of years ago, if every single spider on the planet were to die, mankind would not survive more than approx. 8 weeks. :o Apparently its all down to keeping insects and pests such as flies, mozzies etc. under control by feeding on them. Without the spiders to do this, we would be wiped out by plagues and illnesses spread by insects. :-?

Caught a whopper running across our floor the other day.
So big in fact ...when I put a glass over the top of it to catch it.....two of it's legs got trapped under the rim.....poor little sod.....can only run in circles now. :D ;D :y :y :y

I used to be terrified of them, but worked really hard to get over such an irrational fear.
Don't think i will ever be able to handle a spider but i can remove them without screaming for help!
Find the hoover on its longest extension useful! ;D

Jimbob discovered a nest of HUGE spiders in our back garden. He sprayed them with GT85 and set fire to it! Yuck!

My other half hates spider's but my 6 year old daughter is not. Example came in the house to find the wife screaming because the little one was holding a spider up to her to hold.

She wasn't impressed and yes I got it in the neck. :y

Spiders are great ,my brother's terrified of them  ;) ;) used to chase him round the house with one when i was a kid, usually ended up getting a clump of me mum for it  ;D ;D ;D oh happy days . Flys are ok ,only cos i like feeding their kids to fish  ::) ::) ::)
