Toffee's are very expensive sweets. The force they put on your teeth during chewing is massive and in my case have caused the loss of several fillings. I have one recently lost filling due to toffee, that I am dreading going to the dentist for, cause I recon he will want to Crown it, which is about £200  :'( :'( :'(

Trouble is they taste very nice when they go all gooey................

I used to like those Cadburys Secret bars, werent about for long though.
Sweets choice all down to mood,
sometimes a nice bit of treacle toffee
fizzy chewy sweets
softmints
and not forgetting the seasonal favourite about to hit the shops, the old creme egg  ;D

Mrs Andy B did exactly that yesterday, fortunately the dentist managed to fill the remnants of the tooth.  :y

Buttered brazils
Fruit bon-bons
Aniseed balls
Treacle toffee

Of course, I haven't eaten any of these for at least 48 years, as I have always had a tendency to be overweight.  Anyway, I've now got diabetes, so I really mustn't even think about sweets.
