Went from 48.9 to 53.9! If they did that with petrol there'd be uproar. Went on to a service station on the A12, a major trunk road, with no real competition nearby and paid 48.9

ouch its 39.9 here! (and very tempting, maybe on my next car....)
Where exatly? Accoring to
www.petrolprices.com 47.9 is the cheapes LPG in your area.
2 weeks ago petrol was 82.9 in Basingstoke. Suddenly BP went up to 86.9!! Shell kept 82.9 for a while but now it's 87.9 and going up. Every BP i've checked is 5p more expensive than any other petrol station.
If the petrol pricee went up, LPG will go as well.
At the moment there is only 39p difference between LPG and petrol which with LPG increased consumpion does not make great alternative to petrol. On every 100km savings are £2.7. It takes looooong time to get back £700-1500 for LPG conversion.
